McMackin Stonework Peewees Lose a Close One.
The Orillia McMackin Stonework Peewee Lacrosse team lost a hard fought battle in their 2016 Season Home Opener on Wednesday May 11.

The team gave a fantastic effort all the way to the final buzzer at the Brian Orser Arena, in a 7-6 loss against the Barrie Bombers. The battle was back and forth all night long. The Orillia goal scorers were Sam Neely (2g,1a), Ben Tibbett (1g,1a), Colsen Maracle (1g,1a), Ethan Marwick (1g), Jakson Gerrard (1g). Sam Bosco had 2 assists, and single assists went to Carter Balkwill, Walker Lazier, and Curtis Ashkewe. The McMackin Stoneworks Peewees had a chance to tie up the game late in the third when they went on a power-play but came up short after hitting a crossbar and a post. Jackson Cook had a strong showing between the pipes facing many tough shots and turning away 2 breakaways in the later part of the third period. The Peewee’s next action is back to back games starting on May 25th in Huntsville and then again on May 26th at Rotary Place in Orillia, against their long time rivals, Innisfil.
