As the regular season draws to a close, the WFO Orillia Kings U13-1 Lacrosse team is gearing up for the Ontario Lacrosse Festival U13 Provincial Championships, which will take place from August 2nd to 4th in Whitby, ON. The team had an impressive 2024 season, finishing with a 21-2 record. They were also battle-ready in tournaments, securing two gold medals and one silver medal in three tournaments throughout the year.

July 2024 The WFO Orillia Kings U13-1 lacrosse team returned home with the gold from the 2024 Ray Broadworth Memorial Tournament. During the round-robin stage, the Kings battled against the Guelph Regals, the hometown Gloucester Griffins, and the Milton Mavericks. With two wins to begin the tournament, the Kings faced off against the fast and physical Mavericks. It was an intense game, and unfortunately, the Kings came up short.
