Game 1 and 2
The R&F Construction Orillia Kings peewee 1 team opened the season with a 12-0 win over Huntsville recently.With five new and 12 returning players, the boys worked hard on their systems and with their new linemates for the win. 



Jesse Ashkewe (2g,2a) led the scoring. Other point getters were Hayden Meeks (2g,2a), Aiden Colebrook (2g,1a), Trent Tibbett (1g,3a), Jack Marwick (1g,2a), Cole Rasmussen (1g,1a), Cam Crate (1g) and Chas Sharpe, Tyler Koch, Alex Rodger and Sam Neely, each with an assist. 

In his first game of rep lacrosse, Meguire Naughton contributed one goal and two assists. Camden Matthews was solid in net and contributed on the scoresheet with an assist. Solid defensive effort from Owen Vandusen, Jack Sonnenberg and Carson Bussieres helped solidify the shutout for the Kings. 

The Kings then faced their league rivals, the Innisfil Wolfpack, in the second game of the season. Sharpe started the Kings off with a late-first-period goal, assisted by Crate. Colebrook added another goal in the second to give the team a 2-1 lead going in to the third. 

Tibbett and Marwick added goals in the third period to give the boys a 4-1 lead, with assists from Tibbett, Rasmussen and Jackson Gerrard. Innisfil clawed back with two quick, unanswered goals late in the third to tie it 4-4, and that’s how the game ended. Matthews was stellar in net as he was peppered with shots in the third.
